Herbex Polygonum
Polygonum Multiflorum is a herb belonging to the Polygonaceae. Its root is traditionally used a tonic Chinese herbal medicine. Modern research shows that the main active component of polygonum multiflorum root is stilbene glycoside. It exhibits anti-aging, anti-photoageing and antioxidative effects.

Features and benefits:
Anti-aging: Stilbene glycoside can reduce the disorder of skin collagen’s synthesis and degradation, and can significantly scavenge free radicals. It can also down-regulate the insulin/IGF-1 signaling pathway and up-regulate the expression of SIRT1.
Anti-photoaging: Stilbene glycoside can enhance the activity of SOD, meanwhile resisting the lipid peroxidation induced by UVB.
Anti-oxidation: Stilbene glycoside and resveratrol glucoside can enhance the activity of SOD and catalases.
Applications:
Recommended for anti-wrinkle products, anti-ageing products, etc.
