Description:



Pyrazinamide or Pyrazinecarboxamide is a pyrazine that is used therapeutically as an anti-tubercular function substance.It is an Antimycobacterial.



Pyrazinamide is a synthetic pyrazinoic acid amide derivative with bactericidal property. It is particularly active against slowly multiplying intracellular bacilli (unaffected by other drugs). Its bactericidal action is dependent upon the presence of bacterial pyrazinamidase. Pyrazinamide is an important component of multidrug therapy for tuberculosis.



 



Mechanism:



Pyrazinamide or Pyrazinecarboxamide kills or stops the growth of the bacteria which may cause tuberculosis. It is used with other drugs together to treat tuberculosis.



 



Usage:



Pyrazinamide or Pyrazinecarboxamide is used with other APIs to treat tuberculosis . It will be Mainly make tablets. Pyrazinamide is an antibiotic and works by stopping the growth of bacteria.



NOTE:



Pyrazinamide or Pyrazinecarboxamide will only work against bacterial infections. It will not work for viral infections.
